Should I stop drinking so much tea before bed?!

No- it's a good antioxidant. I know it'll keep you awake, so just buy some decaffeinated tea- it's in the same aisle at the supermarket =D

Well... Tea is a great drink, but I think you shouldn't drink soo much before bed because it's caffeine can keep give you a hard time to sleep ya know...

Well it'll prob make you get up and pee, but theres really no such thing as too much tea cuz its great. Plus its prob easier in your situation to just agree with Mrs Doyle, otherwise you'll get no peace at all!

I was going to ask you "how much" but then I remembered that, like soda, nobody ever needs to drink tea for any reason.
It has caffeine which makes you more awake so even if you do sleep, chances are you won't sleep as well as you could.
Also, most people have heard about the possibility of some teas having antioxidant properties but there are also studies that find no benefits. I personally don't think any of the "possible" benefits of tea outweigh the caffeine intake...which also causes you to dehydrate faster by the way.
If you gotta have tea then at least get decaf after about 3pm (assuming you want to go to sleep by 11pm).

It seems like most people would know that tea has caffeine and caffeine makes you more "awake". If you didn't know that then you might want to research caffeine in general and also find out what other drinks contain it. One of the ones that surprised me was some orange soda... sunkist I think but I could be wrong about which brand.
Anyway, wikipedia is an amazing source of just about anything you want to know so educate yourself :)

p.s. I do like tea myself but I finally had to stop drinking it because of caffeine addiction ... headaches, can't wake up without it, etc... but I never drank it before trying to sleep... at least not if I care weather I was going to sleep well or not.
Oh yeah, and the REASON it make you get up and pee is because caffeine is a diuretic (it removes water from your body.. by the way, your body needs water :)
