i have not got time to go into my branch so i need to use the phone or net
i have tried the website but i cant find anything for damaged cards

Yes it still works, but be careful. The guy who said about the tape on the card is a good idea, but it may not read the strip so be careful where you place the clear tape.
Im with Nat West too and my has been cracked for about 3 months or so, I went into my branch and asked them and they told me it would take 7-12 days for a new card, but as soon as it is ordered, you cant use your old one, and as I simply cant go a day or so without it...i have not replaced it yet. Phone you branch and they will tell you all you need to know, and the new card is free.
Put that 3 inch wide clear tape on it to make it survive till ya get a new one, I had to do that to my Visa card.
Just look up the number on the directory - it would be a call centre, you wouldnt just call the branch. And at the bank i work at, replacing damaged cards is free - but i dont work for that bank.
Take 10 minutes and go into your local branch. Or look on the bank card. There should be a number there. Or look in the phone book.

you can have all my credit cards ....
Call your bank and tell them you need a new one, and for now just throw some scotch invisible tape around it .
