Do you use those energy saving light bulbs?!

Question: not exactly mood lighting.

Answers: not exactly mood lighting.

Yes I do, and they do save money. I have noticed my consumption has gone down considreably!

but no they are not so easy on the eyes... the way i do it is to use uplighters to soften or color them and make them more pleasing

Right now they're too expensive and the insides of them are too toxic for my tastes.

Pretty soon we won't have a choice.

Yes and you can get ones that can be used on a dimmer switch.

yes and it takes them like 5 minutes for them to get bright! i hate those things!

yes.i hate them

Yes I use them

They last for ages

No i don't use them.

I like them.

yes I use them. Every time I need a new lightbulb I buy the energy saver ones. Soon my whole house will be filled with them

yes, all our lights are

yeah i have them all over my house. i try to be as eco friendly as possible. and in the long run they do pay off with the cost ratio of the actual price of the bulb being less than the cost of electricity is smaller.

i use some in my home but they are worth a crap..I had some burn out on me already and there is mercury in them which is very toxic.

Yes, a 65 watt bulb runs you about 20 watts you'll save 60-70% in electrical use. Don't put a standard one in recessed lighting though, they have special ones for that.

yer i have them all around the house and they are crap! take forever to gear up! but because they are going to be made compulasury i thought i might aswell join in the energy saving stuff now rather than later :)

No, I eat too much salmon, and don't need the extra mercury.

yes, and it was the best thing we did. go to home depot and get like the 10 pack, they are cheaper, and you will see the difference the first month, i promise

yes, i do they work really well and last a LONG time

Yes, and they do save us money every month - cost about $100 to change the house over - you get used to the change in light. The dump now has a box for recycling the burnt or broken bulbs.

yes i do and pretty soon they are gonna stop selling the other ones and they have dimming ones and smaller ones and even colored ones they are much better for our environment also

Only in the master bath, because of the warning about the gas toxicity if the bulb breaks.

my brother has one in his room

I have a boatload of the old style bulbs on hand right now..when those are used up, I will try the curly ones..

yes - most of mine are the new E S kind

Yes - unfortunately it stopped working after 6months, but the other one is working fine.
I guess I got a bad once. Hopefully it was a single one and not a batch.
