If you needed a kidney, would you let a loved one risk their life to be a donor?!

Question: If it wasn't a huge "risk" then I would accept it.

But if there was a fair chance my problem was gonna injure or even cause death to a loved one then I'd say "No way. Put me on the waiting list".

(BTW, sign those donor cards...)

I actually know not one but two people who have done so and they recouped nicely and are fine all these years later - so yes I think I would let another do that for me if it would save my life and though be a risk it's a minimal one to them, and? I would do the same for any of my own without thinking twice.

I'd give my twin sister a kidney, and I'm sure she'd do the same for me. The way I see it, if she needed a kidney and died because I didn't give her mine, I'd be devestated. I'm sure she'd feel the same.

at my age, the answer is no. (if i were younger, the answer might be different)

No.
I've always been the one who'd rather die, then live without someone I love.

I can't imagine the guilt. Especially if it were someone very close to me, like my parents or grandparents. I'd feel amazing to know they'd love me enough to give up their life for mine, but I'd be honestly depressed living life without them. And I know they'd be sad with me gone (not that I'm being cocky, but its family.)

It sucks but I know when day I might have to live without them.
My family means the world to me.

I know it sounds morbid, but it's not meant to be that way, but I'd love to see what the afterlife is like anyway. (for me it's Heaven with God and Jesus, but I'll try to keep my opinions to myself.)

P.S. Do minors even have a choice?
