To be honest, if im curious about something or I need to know an answer...I know this place will give me it!

It takes me forever and a day to come up with a good question and then I sit here and wonder if my question would be considered as a chat!!!
I am a funeral director, teacher and bereavement counsellor so I have extensive education in all of those areas for answering questions that require factual information in those areas.
I'm also 57 and have gained a lot of life experiences over the years so often my answers come from a "been there, done that" perspective.
I don't like answers where people copy and paste websites or information from websites. Anyone can google information and in many cases the information is too technical or detailed for the average person to comprehend. I think sometimes it's more helpful and effective to receive information from someone who has already travelled the road or experienced the situation in the question.
I often find on YA, especially with Opinion questions that people don't understand the definition of "Opinion".....they don't really want your opinion, they want people to agree with what they have already pre-determined to be a correct answer and if your answer doesn't meet that expectation, you get a thumbs down. There is no right or wrong answers to an opinion question....they are simply opinion answers and other people's opinions should be accepted whether we agree or not.
