Question: If you have, what was the outcome? Did the other person turn out to be nice or a real freak? I would like to hear your experiences on it.
My brother did date a girl online and she turned out to be a great person. They've been married almost 8 years and couldn't be happier. :) He's a very lucky guy.

I flew out to CO to meet this chick I met in a chatroom on infospace called the "Darkroom." That was 10 years ago and in September we celebrated our 7th Anniversary.
yeah, i'm ashamed to admit i have, he's nice but then he started smoking weed all the time and acted really different so we still are friends but he has some issues...

well i have only met one guy from offline...he lived a state over and we still remain friends...he couldn't leave his job and i wouldn't leave my kids...so it put us in a corner....we still talk though...but i don't think we would ever make a couple...i think i prefer our friendship at this point...and i can talk to him about almost anything and i like that....

No I haven't. My best friend met a guy on the Internet. They chose to meet each other at a party. She didn't like the guy from the Internet but really made a connection with his friend. They ended up getting married a couple years later. It has been almost five years and they are trying to get pregnant.
Yep I have. It ended up lasting a year, he was a great guy but there was too much drama in our relationship. He still loves me to this day.

I used to be really dumb. And I did on AIM for a while, but it was wierd, because the guy turned into a complete stalking freak that i thought was a robot because he claimed to be my age and typed perfectly and VERY fast. It creeped me out...and he'd always have wierd responses, using my name almost every time. It was wierd, I really wouldn't recomend it. I guess it can work out (like your brothers situation) but the web can be very manipulative and people arn't always who they seem. I got out before I became a possible news story.
Yep, I only dated once someone online, his name is Stu and we meet at a forum in i-am-bored, he added my e-mail address to his msn and we started chatting, we chatted for a year, until one day I just couldn't take it anymore!, I wanted to met the guy, so since we lived in the same city very close to each other we decided to met at a shopping mall and then go to the movies. He sent me a photo, I sent him my photo, I gave him my cel phone number and he gave me his.
So it was 9pm, I arrived at the movies and we arraigned to met in the book store sort of like a Barnes and noble place. He recognized me, and we both mentioned how strange it was to met someone over the net, it was his first time, and mine too.
He was ok, to be honest not my type, but he was a good guy, we went to the movies, watched I am legend, and then he joined me to the bus stop and waited with me till' my bus arrived, he behaved like a gentlemen all the time.
Now we still talk to each other, on msn or cell phone, but we never again met each other. but we are friends, now I'm trying to convince him to take tango lessons with me, but he doesn't dare, he says he sucks at dancing.
