Do you believe marriage gets in the way of a potentially great dating life?!

Question: And NO, I DON'T feel this way!! However, I DO wonder how YOU feel...

Answers: And NO, I DON'T feel this way!! However, I DO wonder how YOU feel...

I think, once you fall in love, and are with the person you are meant to be with, it won't matter a bit.
That said, I have had to pass up some pretty tempting offers! One really hot guy comes into my job and flirts with me. Last time he went so far as to promise he's a freak in bed! Eek! I don't know if I'm up for a freak, I'd have to eat my Wheaties!
Since he's married, I just told him to go home and get freaky with his wife, and laughed it off. But if we were both single, I might have to check that out, even though I know he's a dog and would never be good long-term material. Might be fun for a while!
I have a couple of exes that are only a phone call away. There are reasons why they are exes, but being lousy in the sack wasn't among their faults! There's only one I would seriously consider hooking up with, and then, only if I was unattached.
So, yeah, being married or involved does really get in the way of dating, especially if you know monogamy isn't a type of wood! However, there is an upside, or we wouldn't keep getting married and involved, right?

OMG yes....It totally hinders the dating thing!

seriously you have to ask? groans loudly...uggh

nope there is no one i'd rather date then my man.
and i can't wait to get rid of my last name. it's too long and I dislike my dad.

I'm not much of a catch, so no. Plus, I'm too lazy to try the whole dating thing again.

I have found that there has been plenty of opportunities that I could have hooked up with (albeit for one night) some beautiful bombshell but my vows have kept me away.

Only if you're George Clooney!

What?? Hello, when one is married one doesn't think about dating !!!

oh...to me it seems like a big change in there relationship

No. Dating gets lonely. Marriage is having that one person to come home to and always be there for you.

Marriage gets in the way of EVERYTHING!

Yes damn it! lol But you know my situation, I should feel that way! Now on to that divorce... ;)

Jeez I would hope not , because I wouldn't date and if I wanted to I wouldn't get married

No, I think when you find true love it makes it that much better!!

That is why I am single...not in the mood to ruin anything great.

It didn't hinder my first husband.

Sigh. Not much difference I fear.
Wouldn't have any luck either way.
If you get my drift.

yeah it does. dude, if you want an awesome list of answers to this type of question post in the gender and womens studies they generally frown upon men so they get angry pretty quick. ahhh good times.

no it just gets in the way of being happy

Nah, the grass is always greener, i was married, now i'm widowed and have been single for 7 years, married life was MUCH better. dating seems fun, until you're the one doing it, it sux

Truth? no...because it would mean you 'date' just for fun, and then you're not being honest to your 'date' or yourself...at some point you will fall in love, won't you? what will happen then? will you dump him/her just so you can go on with your super 'dating life'???
Makes no sense. And you will end up alone.

I think, once you fall in love, or find someone you want to try and see if it can lead somewhere, you should, and DON'T be afraid of commitment.

Wow...this reminds me of my ex so much.... :(

Not if you are both very open minded.

I don't think marriage will ruin my dating life or my man's.

lol no my hubby and I have a pretty good marriage and dating life

I do feel it cramps my style a bit!
