It depends on what you are giving and what you are taking, however i generally prefer to give but if i offer something to someone and they refuse then i could feel offended, therefore it really does depend on the situation.

This is a deep and profound question - seriously, I don't say that lightly.
We all know that we want to answer, that we enjoy giving to others more. And a lot of people have given that answer. I don't don't doubt, what they say, but it's only half of the truth of the matter isn't it? There is a pang in the back of our mind when we write that answer, 'I just love to give and give.'
It just seems a bit like the cheesy ending of a Disney film. It's nice, but, reality might paint a different picture.
We know that there are times, when we want to take more - one gentleman was honest enough to write, 'give love, take money'.
I find myself, saying, that I want to take more, but I'm trying to learn to give more.
While giving is certainly enriching and satisfying, there is something about taking more, satisfying my own interests first, that is hard to break free from.
I'm a fairly new Christian, trying to understand some of the things Jesus said.
At this point in time I want balance.....so I want it to be even.
I would like to take more honestly. I give and give and give and yet I feel bad when it comes to taking.
