What is the strangest type of food you have ever eaten?!

Question: Did it taste good? Thank you.

Answers: Did it taste good? Thank you.

Octopus Stew while living in Turkey seemed strange when we ordered it but tasted very good. But I ended up dreaming of the tentacles all night long.

I have also eaten lamb that was just hanging upside down from a tree branch along a roadside restaurant in Turkey that had flies landing on it. The only other food the restaurant served was sliced tomatoes and a liquid yogurt drink. We were starving and on a long, long trip and that is what our family ate.

This really weird fruit, sorry, I don't remember the name of it. It looked like a tomato, at the market they told me to set it out til it looked rotten, then you cut it open and scoop out the inside. It pretty much just tasted like rotten fruit, or maybe like a badly mixed daiquiri.

It didn't seem strange to most, but to me it was...I ate eel and it was really good! I like it! ~:0)

Well Phil, I had my first "gulfi" or something like that this morning about 1am and it was excellent. Didn't know they existed. Its an indian desert that is a lot like those little mini milk ice creams but about 4 times bigger and tastier.

Nice.

East Indian, yup until I found out what it was.

A Japanese dish that literally translated means "darning needles." Basically, it is just the thorax of large dragonflies which are stuffed with fish paste and then deep-fat fried in tempura batter. They taste like fish paste, which is not exactly delicious. I tried them because it was the oddest thing on the menu, and I was amazed to learn that Japan has commercial production of dragonflies (although I doubt the industry has very many workers).
