So..Anybody Else Feel Like a Dummy For Buying Airborne Cold "Remedy"?!

Question: With the exposure in recent days of it being a buncha baloney.

Yeah. I fell for it. But it was partly because a co-worker (a teacher) recommended it. I'm gonna rub it in her face now...

haha, no I didnt get duped into buying it.
As a chemist in a pharmaceutical company, working closely with the FDA and the USP (US Pharmacopeia).. I know the intense amount of work that goes into FDA approval for a drug to get on the market... even if its just an over the counter cold medicine. (the process of getting FDA approval can take 5-10 years easily)
Stupid Airborne Cold remedy was so fake! you could tell from the ingredients, and from the label itself...
Sorry you lost some $$ on it, best remedy for keeping the flu and cold at bay is to wash your hands with antibacterial/antiviral soap and dont touch your face with your hands as much as possible.... that's all.

Oh yeah. You're not alone. I tried it too.

Seems like the only thing it did was dry me up but the cold was still there.

you better cuz its their fault you spend your money on that crap

Nope, because I didn't buy it.

Mega-doses of vitamin C work well for me ~ that and keeping a bottle of tea / water on hand at all times...

Oh, and a well-deserved day or two off work does wonders, too :-)
