Was this too heartless of me?!
Question: I was going out with this guy for about 4 months. In that time he decided that he was in love with me, and he wrote me a poem.
Well, I didn't like him very much after I learned that he was clingy and possessive, and I couldn't deal with that so I broke up with him.
A few weeks later he posted that poem on his Myspace.
It's been about 7 months since we broke up, and he still has that poem up.
Well, I found a new guy and I like him a lot. I really don't want past mistakes to interfere with what's at hand.
I asked my ex to remove the poem and he flipped out.
I know he has a right to be mad, but is there anything I can do/say to be a little more persuasive and get it removed?

No. It wasn't heartless...he's just immature.
The poem is no longer relevant to you....You've moved and he will too...Leave him to it, its his life....
I wouldn't say it's heartless. I broke up with my bf after 3 months coz he is the WORST kisser ever.
i dont know how you worked it out in your head that writing a poem = clingy and possessive, he obviously just really liked you, but posting it on his myspace is little odd i would have to say.
you should tell him that he is making a fool out of himself and no other girl is going to want him if he keeps that stuff up. you were only together for 4 months, he needs to move on. and he has that up 7 months after you broke up, he is basically telling everyone that he is a creepy creeperton
