Do I get a breast reduction?!

Question: I really need some honest opinions here:

I am a 38 F (my boobs are huge, they weigh like 25 lbs or more (no joke) they are natural and the weight of them is killing my back. I had seen someone regarding this and the after pics I saw scared the crap out of me (all the scars). I know for breasts my size, they would have to remove the ariola and cut down and across. i do not want to look like frankenstein. My husband loves them, but understands the issue and supports whatever I do, but I am just not sure, any advice? Plus after being so big chested all my life, i am afraid what it would be like if I didn't have them as big, and if I would regret it later.

My friend recently had this done. If you go to a good plastic surgeon, you'll have minimal scarring. There's creams to help reduce any scars. My friend preferred having a few scars over chronic back problems. Be aware that it is surgery, it will be painful, and you'll need time to recover. My friend missed work for a week. Also, you have to make sure that your doctor tells your health insurance company that it's for medical reasons, like your back problems, and not just cosmetic. That way the procedure will be covered by insurance.

you should be happy with your body

Yes, you might as well get one.

I would need a picture to give you my honest opinion.

do what you think is right my mothers friend had this done and all of her back pain went away almost

If it is hurting your back, then maybe you should.

You can get them down to a B,which is still just as appealing.

boobs are over-rated. If they're hurting you, they can't be good. Get them reduced. It's not like you have to cut them right off.

DO IT!!!!
You will never ever regret it! :)

if u like they the way you feel then don't but if they are giving u back problems then yea

Having big boobs isn't THAT big of a deal. it's not that important. Boobs are boobs.
Anyways, you should get a breast reduction if you are in pain. It's silly to keep your body hurting just because you want your big boobs. It's better to not be in pain and be happier and have smaller boobs, than what you are going through now.

If they are physically hurting you, then yes you should. If it's for personal reasons you shouldn't. Learn to love yourself=)

if u will be happy in the long run then yeah but u will be scarred and alot smaller and u cant undo it, its up to u in the end.

don't, theres nothing wrong with big breast, consider yourself lucky! be happy with the way you are.

If you think its whats right for you

If you are having back problems. That is a good reason to get your breasts reduced. If you are seriously thinking about this, make sure you look around and get quotes. Nothing worse than having a surgeon do it and they mess up

Your in my prayers "dog lover"!!!

It's good to hear that your husband supports your 38-F's.

But in the long run, you need to consider the consequences for your back. If they are straining your back now, they will cause a far more uncomfortable life as time goes on.

Talk to your Dr. and I think you'll find that a well trained, highly experienced Dr. can do the job without any major ugly scarring.

Good luck, and post pictures next time.

I got it done...it was the best thing I ever did. No regrets...

I want to get another one...

I would say consult with a physician about them. They might be able to offer some options to try first. A more supportive foundation might help. (They're not as attractive as VS and a lot more expensive than Wal-Mart/Target etc., but personally I'd be trying anything before surgery, I hate going under the knife.) The bottom line is do what's best for your personal health.
Kudos to your husband for supporting your choice.

I am a fan of Breasts, But when it comes to your well being and health I can only say that you have got to do what you think is best for you. Just Remind yourself that in 15 years that those 38 F's will be 38 Longs and the new procedures that they use can do it with very little scarring, the only issue would be maybe the loss of sensitivity if they mess with the Nipples and Areolas, But your Health and Well Being is always more important than anything else. Good Luck with your decision.

Apparently you have seen the work of a butcher. Go to a board certified plastic surgeon for the reduction. The results are very nice and look quite natural. He will cut around your ariola and move it up to its new location. The main incision will be hidden by the crease under your breasts and will not be visable. After the surgery, you will no longer suffer the discomfort of carrying around all that weight and your figure will be much more proportional.

I have known several women who have had breast reduction surgery and none have been sorry for having it done.

Research surgeons and asked for patient recommendations. The after pics you saw are not indicative of all breast reductions. In early 2003, Queen Latifah had breast reduction surgery to relieve back pain. She looks great. But all in all it's a very personal decision that only you can make with support from your husband.

Good luck

no.. its a crime against your body...and humanity

I think you already know the answer. You cannot go on like this, suffering and risking your back to permanent injury. Get a few opinions from doctors you trust. Go with your gut feeling. I bet you'll benefit greatly from surgery and ask yourself, "why didn't I get this done sooner?"
Augmentation surgery has advanced so much these days. Don't worry one minute more.

Please, please, please, I am begging, DO NOT GET A BREAST REDUCTION!

You are every man's dream, and I do not want you to squash my dreams. lol.

Besides, if you really want to do jumping jacks, duct tape those bad boys down. It works for my largeness, lol.

Would you rather have back pain?

Scars are NOTHING. A GOOD PS and a GOOD patient will ensure they are faded.

How long after the surgery did you see those scar pictures? Scars take at least a year to fully fade to white.

Mederma and Scarguard worked wonders on my scars.

BTW, with you being a 38F, there is NO WAY you will get to a decent non back pain size by losing weight and working out (if you are overweight it might work).
