the beatles is definetely my all time favorite group, but the, the stones, the who, and i don't really like greatful dead or pink floyd...
Oh God I HATE the WHO and the greatful dead! the beatles and pink floyd are AWESOME......the rolling stones...eh.....
All of the aforementioned bands have made tremendous contributions to rock & roll music.
Depending upon my lsitening mood, I prefer to listen to them all including the great Bob Dylan,
Leon Russell and Badfinger.
Hmm...I'm vascillating between Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead.
I really like Grateful Dead, especially Terrapin Station, which I love to listen to on a rainy fall day, for some reason. and I have Live 8, in which Pink Floyd did an OUTSTANDING set. Probably the highlight of the entire DVD!

Out of the choices I hate the grateful dead. I do love all the others with the Beatles being me number one.

All are excellent. However, not that I put one above the other, I think PF was WAY before their time. If their albums came out now instead of 30+ years ago, they would still be considered a current group....
None of these even rank close to my favs. The Doors and Hendrix. If I never hear Floyd or the Dead again, I'll die a happy man. The Who is cool, the Stones and The Beatles have great songs, but are so overrated IMHO.

Although they may not have had as many "top 40" hits, they are more prolific and have done more for their fans than any other band in history.
