they are unfortunately put through a screening process and brain numbenization process to make sure they have all the right hair-pulling qualities that a sports announcer needs.
I think they also have to whack their head with a brick ten times every morning but that may just be a myth.

they offer little actual insight to the game and announce the game for the novice fan to "catch them up to speed" on the game meanwhile for the real fan we get repetitive mundane insight my dog could do.
the only solution would be to have vin scully(longtime dodger announcer) announce every major north american sporting event.
