Question: I really, don't understand the participants ! They must be really desperate for money !!

Answers: I really, don't understand the participants ! They must be really desperate for money !!

Tell me about it... why? WHY? ...would anyone go on that show and risk the happiness of everyone they care about for 25 or 100K? That's just stupid...

it's not the money .... it's the fame!

Never...that woman should be divorced if she's not on her way now!!

No.. But I love that show!!!

money and Fame....

No i wouldn't.
But if there happy to do it,then there must be problems in their relationship.

That's one sick show. I never saw it...the commercials are enough to keep me away.

I agree with the first answer. It is not only the money but the fame. I certainly wouldn't do it!

Are you talking about that show....The moment of truth.....yea I dont get that show. I think it is fake. And no I wouldnt go on that show.

Well, so long as she does not get half of my winnings in the divorce settlement, why not?

oh hell no!! not a chance!

I don't have any skeletons that are major enough to jeopardize my relationship, so yes I'd do it.

It's a creative way to ask for a divorce. Don't expect much in the way of alimony though.

no.

For the money they're able to get sure would. I'm an open book so I would have no worries. Hook me up to the lie detector, I'm ready. Self control means maturity and I'm pretty mature.

I'm honest with my wife..it's the other stuff I don't want you to know about.

They sure are desperate for it! People are already getting a divorce that went on that show! I would do it though, I have nothing bad to hide <3

not for millions of $$$, maybe billions of $$$$!

there isnt anything that i would not want my partner to know, he knows it all! so yes, i would go on the show if i had to.

No.
My guess is that woman that humiliated her family on "The Moment of Truth" was probably contemplating ending the relationship anyway and figured why not try to make some decent money in the process! There are alot of unethical people in the world today. I think to a large degree, television shows foster this behavior and make it seem OK and normal.
Being a child or young adult these days must be exponentially harder than 30 years ago. Right and wrong has been so muddied over the years...really sad.

We are living in a time when we see Andy Warhol was right about everyone having 15 minutes of fame. To these participants, just being on TV, as pervasive as it is in our society, makes them a part of the most important thing in their lives - TV. Relationships and working on effective lives takes a back seat to that need to be validated as a person by being on TV - after all, all the people the know best and emulate are on TV. There is much to say about this phenomenon of TV over people, but I hope it will suffice to say that I see it as another of the many modern signs of the apocolypse. :-)

Not just NO..........But, HELL NO!!!!!!!!
I'm not that stupid.

I THINK OVER MY PAST AND REALLY MY LIFE IS FAIRLY AN OPEN BOOK. MY TESTIMONY IS POSTED ON LINE FOR ANYONE TO READ. WHILE I DO NOT TELL THE SORTED DETAILS AS I WOULD LIKE TO THINK OF THE GOOD THAT CAME FROM IT, BUT IF I ASKED I WOULD TELL.

BUT I PERSONALLY HATE THE SHOW AND DO NOT WATCH.

That's so stupid, the guy is nutts. Anyhow if you like him, doesn't matter. What I think he wants is to be so popular because fame!

there r no skeletons between ny husband and i so sure y not go on tv and make other people think ur airing ur dirty laundry and so u know they rehearse their answers ahead of time so the producers can get the correct reactions out of people so it doesnt turn into jerry springer we know one of the people who were on the second episode

I've only heard about the show but would like to see it . It would have to be a million dollars and they would have to put me in a witness protection program because I would implicate everyone here on P&S ha,ha : )

I'm not so sure they are as desparate for the money as much as the notoriety. In that one woman's case, maybe she wanted a way out; anyway it was disgusting. She had no respect for her husband or herself. I have seen some take smaller amounts of cash instead of putting their loved ones through such humiliation. That is one show that is forever off my list.

Of course! First of all, if they let you on there you must have some juicy secrets because no one wants to hear
"Have you ever checked out another guy when your husband wasn't around?"
"No."
"Do you ever wish you had different parents?"
"No."
"Have you ever done anything wrong ever?"
"No."
We want to watch that show and say, "Well, my life might not be great, but at least my secrets are still secrets." Personally I would jeopardize them because once you have the money, screw everyone who hates you now! You can buy new friends!

No. I had enough trouble revealing my skeletons in private.

LOL ! I watched that show, only to realize, how pathetic national television has become through the years. It's truly a disgrace, how many people fall for "reality tv shows" and not to mention, these shows with lack of educational information !!

It's pretty sad. To see a person hurt their whole family in front of the world for fame and a chance at some cash. It says alot about a persons moral values. But, you see their families there supporting them, so they are just as bad as the contestant. They leave themselves vulnerable to humiliation bcz they too want the fame and fortune. I don't feel bad for them, they put themselves into that situation.
