Question: If you found out that their past was all a lie and they were hiding another life from you and others what would you do?
I am reading a book where after being married for 4 years the FBI comes and arrests a woman who killed someone and took on a whole new identity. Interesting!

I would feel really betrayed. That scumbag would have a whole lot of revenge coming his way.
I would be devistated... I would want to know why that person lied, what made him lie, and if it was a lame excuse, I would respect his choice, but I would cut off contact with that person
I would be shocked, pissed off, and heartbroken.
That would be kind of hard to take. I've read a book like that. Very interesting.
i would feel betrayed...i would feel like everything was a lie...i would begin to doubt everything else in my life...i'm thinking it would be hell and i would never trust anyone again.
Id want to get to the bottom of it, as to why and what they had done. Then try to determine if they have truly changed, if it's possible to change and deal with the issue. Or if it's really bad then run like hell.
I have learned that history about people before you become involved with them is not 'your/my' history, and that people should not be repeatedly punished for something they have moved on from. It is possible for people to change and recreate who they are. Just be sure that there isn't a history of violence/mental health issues.
I'd be upset and feel betrayed.
