new york city. lived there, loved it. it's accessible, walkable and completely changeable in a few wee blocks. went to L.A. and found nearly the opposite, or similar in a depressing way. it made me sad. the first word that comes to mind @ NYC: possibility. LA: survival. BUT i don't really know as i haven't lived there to fully compare.
