Since apparently are too many trolls on yahoo that report for non sense reasons,!

Question: option should be removed and left completely up to yahoo's discretion if the question is inappropriate?

I think personally that would be a good thing, since that would eliminate bogus reporting all together.

Agreed! The other night, I was part of an idea for a whole lot of people to post the same exact question at the same exact time! MY question got reported & a VN was in my inbox but a lot of others did NOT get that! I was like WTH?! I'm TOTALLY fighting it! That was just wrong!! I've NEVER reported anyone even for things that could have been reported! I'm just not that type of girl!!!

I totally agree with you.
One of my friend's questions was reported for no apparent reason.

Good idea.

yes i do

it would be better at times.....i just got a violation for asking someone if they were a narc.....big deal right?

Yes!! you said it. sick of bogus reporting

yup

It will always 'depend'. I don't think we should have to wait for yahoo to check out obscene avatars or to get rid of the person telling me I can make 1200-1500 by working from home.

great idea......!
personally, i would definitely
choose the same way!
i back up your decision fully
becuase thats how i feel about this WHOLE
thing too........
if you check my profile
i have about 3 questions
deleted.......ALREADY!!!
i mean like seriously!
i asked three questions
&& all three of them got deleted!!!!!!!!

I think I should be the one deciding what's appropriate and what's not. God has chosen me to come preach among you savages here in Polls & Surveys.

I am here to help you young ruffians and instill some much needed discipline. Now keep your eyes on the questions asked and do your best to give good answers. God will reward you and, if you don't, I will punish you! Now where did I leave my sharp edged ruler?

At the very least they should verify if it is a violation and not just let some humorless twit delete it.

A couple of my questions were reported for no reason

well, last night i got two violations for the same question. when i went to post it i found several other people already did. so, i can't understand why my question violates the rules and the others didn't considering it was the SAME question. i wish they would remove the reporting feature all together. too many people abuse it just like the thumbs down.

maybe they should do something to the people that report unnecessarily...i have only reported one person in a year but that is because the question was so deplorable it needed to be erased. But if people are just running around trying to be the question police then i think yahoo should do something to them. they should also have live people reading the questions people report to see if they really are breaking the rules or just some body that is out for blood.

I totally agree with you ;)

i agree with you there are so many self ritious wankers on this thing!!!

still a small per cent....as there are thousands of very good genuine and helpful people too!!

yes i am tired of the pro bush crowd ( well its not a crowd its a troll or 2 ) reporting every question i ask about without typing seig heil to our great leader

I wouldn't agree with you completely...as I've seen some pretty rude/crude questions. But I do think the questions which are reported and turn out to be okay...that the person who reported them should be 'docked' so many points...and, after, say three, they shouldn't be able to report any more if they have violated the rules.

No, because some reporters report for legit reasons, like myself. What Yahoo! should do is look over every report they receive and see if the reasoning behind it is good enough for removal, if it IS illegal or a violation of Community Guidelines. If it isn't, the violator should be met with either a 10-point penalty or a suspension - 24 hours on the first violation, then 72 hours, then a week, then a month, and on the fifth violation, their account is banned altogether, and anyone trying to get in under a new alias will be banned immediately.

In the meantime, I think it would be a wise idea to set your Q&A to private. You'll be less likely to be reported.
