Do you prefer the unusual rhythms of life over the same old thing?!

Question: My husband and I are older (I'm 57, he's 50) and we may think of the 'rhythms of life' a bit differently ... we think of our WHOLE lives and not just 'yesterday, today, and tomorrow' ... and this 'longer view' may make us seem to be very 'stodgy' because there are many things we do the same day(s) in any two week period. We are not 'stodgy' though ... we are actually very spontaneous ... we may decide to go to a movie and just get up and go then, or we may decide to do something we have never done. In many things, like planning our travel and housing for our vacation we do plan ahead ... but on vacation, we do what we want to do when we want to do ... even sometimes very odd things, like looking for a restaurant for dinner by heading out the door and walking until our 'noses' lead us to a new (and WONDERFUL!) place for supper. Yes, we do enjoy the 'same old thing' but ONLY because that gives us a solid foundation to 'jump into the wind and fly free!'

h*ell yeaaaaaa!
=)

makes things more unpredictable - which I likeee

Yup.

Yes, change is usually a good thing.

Unusual, it keeps me more entertained!

Take a dump

? Yes.

yes, they are the only one that can put harmony in my tunes:)

i prefer a steady stream on continuity in life, with a smattering of newness along the way......

I like the highs more than the lows.

I would say a combo. About 70/30 in favor of same old thing.

yeah because thats what makes life interesting

If things are the same over and over then life can get pretty boring.. an unusual rhythm keeps me interested and not knowing what is going to happen next keeps me loving life. Trying new things and meeting new people are the best part of life. BEST OF LUCK!

Hell yes. Everyone does. Literature and film are filled with the dreams of worlds and situations that people wish they could live in. Why walk when you can fly???

Unusual can break up the monotony for certain. But I wouldn't want to be subjected to it every single day..

oh wait...seems to me that I am. Dang..no wonder I get so frustrated.

Its what makes life interesting. Even music will be more interesting when it changes with the bars rather than the same old thing throught a song.

unsusual rhythms always

yes, please. Right now, I'm 22 and my 42 year old boyfriend is set in his (and his children's) ways. :(

How I long for a tuesday morning hangover?

Life without rythms is very dull and I don't like it.. Good or bad, some rythms r necessary.

I live for the unusual rhythms. I had too much of the same old thing with my husband, no more!
