Nah, I think its becoming more accepted every day as the world moves on further into the computer age. 10 years ago it was wierd, these days its an acceptable way to meet people. Can't be any worse than a bar.

I think that there are a lot of weird people that hide behind
their profiles and, for me, it is not worth the risk.

You can get bad experiences from the real world, but I think you have more immediate control over what you are getting.
