What makes your heart feel like putty in your hands?!


Question: Happened yesterday. This was the scenario: I work with behaviorally and developmentally challenged children. One of the kids on my case load is in a mental health hospital right now. I went with his mother to visit the other day and when we went to leave. (He's non verbal and autistic- he didn't realize what was fully going on) as we were walking toward the door he stopped and ran back to his room. We thought he was gonna get this little car he'd been riding around the hospital on; but instead he came around the corner with his coat .... ready to go home. Christ! My hart feels like putty just thinking about it now. Poor kid.
