(uk) Are you allowed to eat stuff in a supermarket as long as you pay at the end!

Question: Yes you are allowed to do it but you must keep the packaging and pay for it when you get to the checkouts - it is only weighted items like grapes that you are not allowed to eat

Lots of people do it.
Not sure if one is allowed though.

ooh i don't know, i might try that just to find out lol! :)

i do it all the time just as long as you do pay for it.
:)

I've seen a signup in a supermarket before saying something about them not wanting you to do it..

I've seen lots of people do it, although I don't think they like it and **technically** it's stealing because you havn't payed for it YET. But as long as you pay it shouldn't make too much difference, they still get their money

Yep.
Its worse when you have your kids in pushcair and they just grab what they can reach!!

You are not supposed to do it but I have seen people do it. As long as you put the packaging in your basket and pay for it I think that some supermarkets let you get away with it

Possession is nine-tenths of the law, plus i'd like to see them try and get it off me! x

Well i drink stuff in the market but i never tryed eating stuff
but i guess it would be ok as long as you have a upc or price for it when you check out.

My mum does it all the time xD With grapes and stuff

I dunno if it's allowed but people do and I have my self. I put the packaging through the checkout.

Yes, and some places actually want you to try stuff.

Yes, my little brother does it all the time.

Why - do YOU?

Yes your allowed . As long as it nothing like a plasma TV or similar

i have done it,when i had a real bad hangover and needed a fizzy drink,i pinned it in the aisle then paid at checkout.

I`ve had a drink going around Tesco`s, I was desperatey thirsty, I explained at the ckeckout, girl said thats Ok. I`ve also done it going through self service checkout.

I once saw a woman going round with her kids in the trolley and she just picked some fruit off the shelf and gave it to them!
The other day my mum was in Tescos and just as she was about to hand over her card the store got evacuated :)
She could've walked off I suppose. That would've been pretty cool but she didn't. I know it's got nothing to do with the question but it's still along the lines of stealing from shops lol
x

your not supposed to but Ive seen loads of people giving tip bit to the kiddies before going to the tills, right or wrong it stops the kiddies from creating while you shop the kids don't understand it must be paid for first they just see goodies going into the trolley

dont think soo
i mite av 2 find out . .
xx
