Love at First Sight?...?!


Question: ....and answer to my '10 point...' question...earlier.

Do you believe in love at first sight… and can it last?
Well l met my wife a Filipino who was on holiday in UK at the time form Hong Kong, in Mid August 1980 on a Sunday. By Wednesday that week l proposed to her and she said YES and we got engaged immediately. We had another week together before she had to return to Hong Kong were she was working at the time. So we were only together for 2 week. I did not see her again till mid November that year when l flew out to Hong Kong to get married to her. That is just 3 months for first meeting her. To getting married
We have now been happily married now for 27years, and have 2 wonderful children and we still love each other.
So can love at first sight happen and last? Well in my case yes… what do you think?

Awe that wonderful, I spotted my hubby over the other side of a room at the beginning of October 1981 and fell in love with him on sight,, we went on our first day at the end of October, we got engaged on Valentines day 1982 and married on November 10th 1983, we renewed our wedding vows in Australia last year and this November we celebrate our silver wedding, hes the love of my life, my soulmate, my rock, my everything, so yes I definitely do believe in love at first sight.

    Beautiful story... I guess it can... You can't start a fire without a spark, so if you both have a little sparkle in your eyes then there you go.. I am yet to experience this for myself so I am not speaking from experience but I am hopefull
    I dont beleive in love full stop hun, an ideal presented by the powers to ease the pain of oppression....an opium to the masses....while we search for this true love or feel this thing called love, we forget about how harsh life really is and the fact we are being taken advantage of. Also experiance has taught me that letting some one get close is bad, they come as one thing actually turn out to be another, cause you hurt pain. So love at first sight, second sight etc...No chance!

    Wow that's lovely, I met my boyf in the UK he is Portuguese he was visiting for the weekend. We kept in touch via phone/PC he came back for a weekend 3 months later I went to Portugal 3 weeks after that. While on holiday here I decided to move here and 6 months later I was a resident in Portugal next month is my first year of living here and we have just brought a house together, so yes I do!

    yes i do , as soon as i clapped eyes on my husband in 1988 i knew something was going to be very special for us .. we started dating within a month , got engaged the following valentines day & married in 1993 ! 18 years down the line and 4 daughters later i still love him with all my heart . My dream came true , it was love at first sight for me and i am a very lucky girl .
    No - how can you love someone at first glance? Love is a feeling you get & give to someone when you've been with them awhile and have 'proved' your compatibility.
    Lust at first sight is a completely different story - You can fall in lust with any Tom, Dick or Harry just walking down the street. Having said that you have been very lucky with meeting your wife and everything just falling in to place like that - some people have been looking for Mr/Mrs Right all their lives!     In some conditions, I can SEE it happening. I don't really know. I haven't experienced it myself, but I've seen it with friends where it works out and some where it doesn't so I think it just depends on so many things, you couldn't possibly have a universal solution for everyone on this topic.

    Oh, I'm going to HAVE to star this question merely for the sweet story. Hope I can find a man like you soon but I just seem attract bast@rds :-( :-p
