Question: Of course! We all do. Some people think that if you don't share all your secrets you are dishonest. That is not true at all. Some things are just no one else's business and you aren't required to tell them anything. The key to knowing is asking yourself the questions, Is this going to hurt them if they found out? Is this going to affect them directly for the rest of their lives? Best case scenario, you filed bankruptcy years ago, you are now dating someone, should you tell them. Absolutely not! It is none of their business. But lets say that you are now about to marry that same person, and you are discussing all the things you discuss about getting married, then the answer is yes,,, you should tell them you filed bankruptcy.
