You have a cheap & nasty nylon carpet probably

SO IM RIGHT!!!!

Stop touching things!!!

Pick your feet up when you walk

Put shoes on
Its the static electricity from your feet thats causing it.

put on ruber gloves

Don't wear synthetics.

You mean like static? You need to ground yourself. Touch a faucet with 1 finger for a while, it should be ok.

don't wear rubber soled shoes, or just socks. wear hard soled shoes

i get this every morning when i wake up...then it wears off as the day goes on...lol...
ive stopped touching anything metal...im not safe.

use a bounty dryer sheet, gets rid of static! :)

check up your wire system

clad yourself in rubber....no that may give me a sock..:)

Touch wood or plastic objects to drain the charge before you touch metal. I recommend wood though.

Pick your feet all the way up when you walk. You may be scuffing them along the ground and not even realizing it. That creates static electricity and a shock will result when you touch something (i.e. ground yourself).

stop standing in the bathtub when you turn on things.

try not to walk on carpet or wear clothes like sweaters or cotton that might charge the particles on your skin. try not to rub any body part any surface. Honestly, that's all I can tell you.

I know! I hate that too, my daughter cringes now every time I go to touch her. I told her she's gong to get me arrested because people will think I beat her. I'm scared to touch anything at this point but haven't come up with a solution, other than grounding myself first but that doesn't always work....

stick a fork in the toaster....
could be fun.

sometimes ( I have been told ) Put moisture in the air.. Like a humidifier..
This should help..

You have to put it in every room, even if you just put cans of water all around the house..

Um maybe you have a super power..j/k. But seriously what the hell? That used to happen when i got out of my car, so i always made sure i touched something else before touching the metal of the car.

Just add moisture to the air. Try boiling water in an open pan or run the shower for a while. You can set dishes of water in all the rooms. If you have a clean, spray bottle then fill it with water and spray some in each room. Or you can invest in a room humidifier.

Its lack of alcohol hun that causes this problem....Medically proven.... in order to cure yourself of this condition I prescribe vast quantities of Vodka.... all on the NHS Prescription of course!!!

Get a humidifier and quit walking around.

lol...I hate when that happens! The first time this happened with my son, he started crying, thinking I did it on purpose. He wouldn't let me hug him or anything for the rest of the day...

That is static, don't drag your feet around, that should help.!!!

I get them all the time, not wearing shoes in the house works, ad iv heard using hand creams stops it too
