Why do the authorities treat people over 60 like they are idiots. My mum keeps getting withheld numbers and the police asked her had she done the 1471. Why would I be reported for pointing out a fact and asking a question at the same flipping time. Wow

Yes, it's very annoying when completely innocent questions are deleted, isn't it - I had a question deleted asking about guys' beards, etc - goodness knows why!)
Regarding your mum's phone calls - it sounds like she needs to join the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) - it's free of charge and it really seemed to make a difference when I joined.

unfortunately the police force seem to think the general pblic are stupid. Near us the police are appealing for witnesses over a hit and run, apparently they have many leads aka we've no idea and hope someone may come forward. They are also looking for the mother of an abandoned baby. Please come forward we only want to help you aka please come forward so we can charge you. They honestly think we all came down in the last shower. Our neighbourhood watch group held a meeting where the local bobby told us that there were 27 police officers in our town but when further pressed said there were 2 sergeants, 2 police officers and 23 voluntary civilians. Do I look stupid to you?

I can't see why that question was reported, trolls, but I do agree that the authorities do treat people over 60 like they are idiots, my next door neighbour is 80 and blind and because of that they think hes simple, its totally disgusting.
