I am eating while typing this
It depends on how well I know the person. All in all it's a very annoying habit.
I loathe them for it. I hate it when people eat while they're typing on Y!A too.
I pretty much immediately say "well, I gotta go" and I end the conversation.
I'm not mad at them, but it's just kinda rude (and digusting) to eat on the phone.
Mildly annoying but its a friend so I overlook it.
I hate it but hands up I do do this. How awful I am wont be doing it anymore so ring me!

I let them know that they are eating and I'll call back later or they can call me.
Well if i call someone and i hear they are eating i excuse myself and tell them i will call back later.. But if i am eating and the phone rings i just swallow and talk and finish eating when i have hung up with them.. I'm not rude and do not eat while talking to me that disgusting.
Better than people going to the bathroom while they're talking to me! Especially when I'm eating!
I asked what they are eating and than I repeatedly say, "I am sorry, what did you just say?" and then they get the drift and apologize and stop eating.
i hate listening to people make eating noises on the phone. i usually just tell them to call me back when they're done eating cause it bugs me that much.

it bugs me too,i dont even like my kids eating crisps near me or gum! :(
my boss does this all the time and the sound of her chomping sounds gross enough, but then when she calls me into her office and i smell the tuna sandwich that she was eating (she eats them ALL the time) it is even worse...i would rather hear it than smell it!
Don't really care for it but I will take that over listening to them pee or crap. I hate that.

I can only recall one person doing that to me and they called me ,so I said I would speak with them later since they were eating. What does annoy me though is to try to talk to someone and have them banging pots and pans in my ear . They don't seem to realize how terribly loud and distractive it can be when they bang cabinet doors and rattle pans and dishes. . It's an old habit with me but when someone calls me I try to pay attention to what they are saying and not be multi-tasking.
It pisses me off , it is inconsiderate and rude
after the person gets done feeding their face way don't they just lower the phone and fart into your ear

Most of the time I can deal. Unless it's my mom or my little brother or sister.. Because then I usually can't understand. But I usually just ask what they are eating, or tell them to call me back or something.
