Question: Why is it that in the book series Nancy Drew has blond hair, but on the TV show and in the movie she's a brunette? And why in the books does Ned have dark hair but in both the movie and the TV show he's a blond? Just wondering.

Sometimes a Book series is often changed around in Movie/TV versions due to casting-take Harry Potter for instance, he has black hair in the book, but in the Movie he's a brunette.

i don;t know well most of the books are in black and white so i guess it is the person in chage's opioin i guess
In the book series, Nancy Drew was always known for having auburn colored hair, yet in the books that came out later in the series - they made her blonde. I think they did it to give her a barbie edge and possibly make her more popular.

I've wondered that too. Of all things, you'd have thought they'd get her hair color right in the movie. Everyone who has read Nancy Drew knows she has blonde hair, and that Ned's is dark.
