Would i look like a freak if i did this? Please read it ALL before answering?!

Question: Let me start from the start.
I am a huge fan of Linkin Park but i am a new fan because i only started listening to them like 5 months ago. OK so i rally want to go to one of their concerts but i think i might be singled out if i wear what i always wear. Let me explain. I am a muslim(please, don't laugh) and i always wear a head scarf to cover my head and my hair whenever i go out of the house. I am thinking that i might be a laughing stock if i wear my head scarf an a knee long coat to cover my body. And a nother thing is that i live in London and i have checked when they are performing and have found that this whole year they will be performing all over America. Thats another thing that is stopping me. one more question, how do you get backstage pases? How amny months in advance should you get the tickets? and how early are you supposed to be so you can get the best place to see the concert?
When do the meet and greets take place, before or after the concert?

you are not a freak!
Don't let yourself down about what you wear. You choose what you want to wear and don't let anyone slag you off for it. don't keep worrying about it! honestly. People will be focused on the music at the concert so nothing to worry about !

Linkin park are a really good band I like them too, although I have been listening to them longer than you. They played at the o2 arena in january ( i was down there and saw posters for it cus i went to see the spice girls XD)

Backstage passes - hmmm don't normally get given to members of the public its usually people who know the band or people who are helping out the band etc. But if you get your hands on one then Great stuff ! XD

How many months in advance - keep checking their website for details, or the ticket sale place. Once they are released (usually a few months prior to a concert ) you should try and get them straight away because these tickets can snap up fast! I know this from experience I have been to lots of concerts and I've missed out on getting tickets! It's not a nice feeling so try and get them as soon as they go on sale!

How early - Check the time on your ticket. There will usually be a support band or 2 before the Main band take the stage. say the ticket says 7 oclock. I would leave and try and get there for around 6 - half 6. But remember you need to include travel etc, traffic will be a problem nearer the place they are playing in aswell. As long as you don't miss the band you came to see then its fine!

Meets and greets - Before...unless you are there hours before the concert then it's not really a good idea. If the arena is very big ( say like the o2 arena) then you may not always get the opportunity to meet the band. This is devastating...but hey you just got to see them play so it's not that much of a big deal and they are famous! Not so big venues or whatever you may be able to go around the back and meet them. I have done this a few times. Tip is to go straight after the band have gone off stage. head round the back door where their tour truck is.

Well i hope I've helped XD

you are no freak.

I think its great that you are Muslim and can listen and enjoy all types of music! You are great

They are Americans, Americans don't care what you wear! The concert will be so big that nobody is even going to notice you, they will be to busy watching the concert!

Don't worry about a thing!

I would try going at least an hour early.. that's at very least!
I think you would meet them after the concert, not before,

i ? linkin park!!
?

You're fine. Go ahead and wear the scarf, it's fine. And I assure you, there will be tons of other people there that are wearing long coats.

I don't know how to get backstage passes or transatlantic tickets, but best of luck to you.

When I've gone to concerts, I've gotten there half an hour early. But they were pretty small venues... maybe 1500 people each. The meet and greets are usually after.

yes.

You are not a freak, and anyone who says so is an insensitive racist. Sometimes you can get a backstage pass in a special package deal, but these can run in the thousands. If you go too early, some venues won't let anyone in, even if you have heightened access. Meet and greets could be before but usually take place after. And good for you for not giving up what you feel comfortable in!

no info required.you would stand out like marylin manson at a bronski beat gig

I'd buy the tickets as soon as possible, just to get it over with. And are you coming over to America to see them?

Do you have a choice to wear your head scarf, or do you HAVE to? If you come over to America with it, I don't know.. people might treat you different or something =/ No offense

But whatever you decide, go see them because Linkin Park rocks! Have fun

No! Not what u wear is what makes the person!!!! Go!!! More of ur questions I can't answer...sorry x'D

no i havent but i never been to a concert b4 have fun

i guess all the answers we gave for this same question over the weekend weren't good enough huh?

I hope you are getting better answers this time.....

I am a huge LP fan too (if the user name doesn't give me away, lol) and I don't think you would stand out or anything. It will be dark and no one will even be looking at you. Plus everyone is there to enjoy the music. They won't even pay attention. You wear whatever you feel like wearing, and don't let anyone tell you differently.

P.S. If you are going to get on a plane, then they will probably go crazy about wearing the head scarf. I'm Indian but I'm Hindu not Muslim so I don't wear the head scarf but they already look at me and my family funny so it would suck if they checked you extra or anything...if you know what I mean.

Anyway, best of luck, and enjoy the concert, and tell me how it went, lol. If possible, could I get a number on the ratio of Hybrid Theory songs to Meteora songs to Minutes To Midnight songs? Thanks. :)

Again, best of luck.
