But when you lose yourself...then you are :)

The reason why?
Because while the other two are together, your the third wheel by yourself who is forced to be around the other two enjoying each other.
Only when you appear single, some one would join you to make it two. And not otherwise.
But, excuse me. Whatever is shown in avtar is two in number and hence, it is also eligible for inviting one more to make the whole thing wholesome.
