Why is it on Yahoo questions?!

well as a computer science engineer, i would say, the site's update interval is longer.
so when you are seeing 0 answers it is the state that may be a bit older than you think, and hasn't updated yet. An update automatically would occur once a minute or few minutes. usually this software runs in two parts. one on client side, second on server side. Yahoo processing occurs on server side. So basic operations that you see, like navigating, seeing questions may be an old state that you are accesing on client side.. but when you are answering, that action would invoke server side to perform some action and update the material. so you will see update as a whole, with your answer as well as some people's answers that were loaded before you, but were not updated on your side.

I wonder exactly the same thing. Guess there are too many people on here and I'm too slow to get first. :(

lol I hear ya. Once on another question, I thought I was going to be the first person to answer since the question had been posted for about 4 minutes and it had 0 answers, of course, after clicking 'submit', somehow I became the 36th answerer. I blamed myself for being a slow typer lol. Maybe there's more to it...
Others were typing answers at the same time you were and were just a bit quicker in hitting the 'Submit' button.
