What do you think of those people...?!

Question: who play as "freaks" or "weirdos" because they want to be different by all means? Those who brag about their drinking, their crazy gestures, their rudeness, etc. just to prove that they don't fit in the crowd?

personally, they make me smile. somehow I consider them the most conventional of all...

Agreed with the most conventional of all statement. I wrote an entire blog once about people that want to stand out in a crowd actually blending in more than anyone else.
They all seem to have the same mindset, that they want to be unique... thus causing them all to be the same.
People tend to do whatever it takes to get noticed sometimes, from putting a metal bar through their face *I have had many a piercings*, to getting drunk and sleeping with everyone at the party.... and yet they normally remain nameless in the end.
Sad in a way. But also brings a smile to my face.

Comedians in disguise

Yes...it's kinda sad

I'm a freak
.... in bed!

They are fool.

I sometimes feel sorry for people who try to be different for attention, I just want to give them a big hug and say 'It's ok, I notice you'

i don't get what ur tryna say

It irritates me. I have a friend who will always say, unprompted, Oh, I'm crazy, or Yep, I'm really eccentric, or I know, I'm weird. Really, they're pretty damn ordinary.

Yes, i totally agree.
How they judge everyone else for being the same, yet say people pick faulth with them because they are different. yet needless to say, it is clearly them picking fault with everyone else, to be different.

I walk away -- these are sad people who seem to want attention by any means (which to me seems like desperation).

I used to be one of those "freaks"; unfortunately, not everyone has a crowd, we can't all be well-liked all the time. Either feel sorry for them or ignore them. You don't have to like them but you do have to co-exist with them... I was about 19 when I went through that phase. I don't lose sleep about who likes me or doesn't anymore, i'll be 30 in September.

I think they must be hiding a deep rooted anxiety about them selves and feel they need to make up or brag about stuff that a secure well balanced human would be ashamed to admit. its all about confidence some people have to fake it as they don't naturally have it.

i don't think it's a good or bad thing. and can be interpreted many ways.

sometimes, i think they are just trying to say something to the world! they want to be noticed. they are searching for some misplaced attention.

or they are just sharing their soul with anyone and everyone. they are putting what's on their inside on their outside.

They are living life to its fullest. They make me smile too.
There was this guy at the mall yesterday in Mentor (OH) and he was about 6 foot 6 and he had on tall combat boots, a tie, a pink oxford, dark trendy jeans.. he had to be at least 38... he had adhesive letters on his shirt which read,
I AM A BIG SEXY THING.

I almost laughed myself into a tensy/frenzy.
I wanted to hug him badly.

I love people who are non-conformist, unlike zombies like a lot of people I know. But they have to be respectable and decent or they'll just look like an a*s.

You have be willing to talk to strangers despite what your parents have told you to the contrary to learn that they are friend you haven't learned to adore as of yet.

I often think that this is a cry for getting attention...
I smile too and I think one should go closer to those people and listen to their real needs. Maybe they are not what they sound...

Am I too optimistic, too naive? Maybe. I don't know .. this is only how I think about this...
