Why don't animals get diseases like STD and AIDS?!

Question: animals never use 'protections' and they only engage in unprotected sex.

so how come animals don't get diseases like STD but only humans do?

Actually they can and AIDS jumped from chimps to humans, syphilis came from sheep, etc.

Actually, they CAN get STD's. Before I agree to stud my dog, both of the dogs need to be tested for STD's.

we are monogamous

I think it's their metabolism,and immunity,works different than ours.

They do. Animals can get STD's. Like Feline Aids.

did AIDS not originate in monkey's?

They can. Feline AIDS comes to mind and I'm sure there are a lot more I don't know about.

They Do...Started With Monkeys...!!

Maybe it is safer with an animal

Ever heard of feline leukemia? That is AIDS for cats. But I do wonder why monkeys aren't dying of aids, considering that's where it came from... built up immunity I guess.

I don't belive AIDS came from Monkeys.......It came from across the Water....

If you knew what AIDs was you wouldn't be asking this question. Also for anyone who believes that a perfectly structured super disease could evolve in "chimps" for no appearant reason you're clearly not applying your education and wasting whatever money you are putting in any sort of self education.

They have a natural immunity to any STD's.
