What does it mean when a 3 yo says " I dont want this " ( cereal ) , b!

Question: he brought me his bowl of fruity cheerio's and I reached to take it from him and wouldnt give it to me . So we took the bowl back to his little breafast table and he started to whine again " I dont want this " . Again , I reached for the bowl and he refused . So I asked him " Do you want this bowl of cereal ?"and he said " yes." .
So" I asked what do you want ? " and he didnt answer. Should I make him some toast or some sausage ?

How does a three year old say I am hungry but I want a hot breakfast today? Cheerios make a good snack too. I take some to work with me and snack on them during the day while working. It's a lot better for you than chips or candy. Your a good mom for making sausage.

That boy is not related to Buk ...is he?

he's craving attention

get off P&S for a change and show the kid some love

I think he is testing you. I would make him eat it anyways since that is what you were offering for bfast. Dont let him walk all over you!

Let him eat the cereal. The sausage sounds real fattening.

Growing up my dad used old school psychology to fix everything from pick eater to ADD. I was simple you didn't eat you got smacked upside the head. You got bad grades in school you got smacked upside the head. You were diagnosed with ADD you got smacked upside the head.It seemed to work.

He may not let go til you offer him something better. ~~Peace~~

Maybe he was still half asleep, and just grouchy..
