THEY LOVE IT SO IF ITS FOR KIDS ID RECOMMEND A WII

I have an Xbox 360, you don't want to get a kid that because I will pwn him in Halo and he will cry.
The Wii and the Nintendo DS handheld are the most kid-friendly and have the most games geared towards kids.
I don't actually own any of those. But the Wii looks really cool, something I might try if I had the money :D

The Xbox 360 is the better console of the three!
It depends on the age of the child and what they're into.
For younger kids I would go with Nintendo, the Wii is brilliant.
My son is 13 and he has a few games consoles but the xbox 360 is his favourite, he goes on xbox live and can talk to his friends on it too.
Wii has more fun factors that appeal to everyone from kids to retired adults. The console gamplay as well as its titles are all design to appeal to a larger range of audience
x360 and PS3 is more of a typical console targeted at a more narrow range of people, particularly teens and adult gamers.
Many typical video games in x360 and PS3 may be too complicated for young childs, maybe they can play, but complex games basically takes away the fun factor.
I would seriously recommends you to spend on a Wii. Not many games on other consoles are fun for kids, seriously...
Wii will have the best games for a kid such as mario, monkey ball, and is just made for children the other two systems have alot of violent games

for a child- I'd say Wii.
for a teen- I'd say xbox.
for an adult- I'd say playstation3.
I just bought a playstation3 for my boyfriend (he's 26) and loves the crap out of it.. but it's high-tech.
