Where did all your money go? Gas vs. Water?!
Question: I don't like paying over $3.00 for a gallon of gas, I don't think anyone does. What I'd like to know, is why some people complain about this, and then pay over a dollar for a 20 oz bottle of water, instead of drinking from the tap?
1 gallon = 128 fl oz
1 gal gas = $3.10 or $.0242187 per oz.
1-20 oz Dasani Water = $1.25 or .0625 per oz or $8.00 per gallon

Gas, I don't purchase bottled water. But I think it's great that you did the math here, because many people really don't see it.
Honestly, neither. As a matter of fact, my money has gone to movies and "I'll glady pay you on Tuesday" people.
I don't own a car. If I have to get somewhere, I'll either take a bus or walk. & well, I don't buy bottles of water either. I'm content with my home-filtered water.
Gas, I won't buy bottled water
I only drive 3 miles to the train each day and I spend most on gas on weekends.
I do buy two 1.5 liter bottles of water a day because I am on the go and if I don't carry it with me, I do not drink water at all.
I do not want to re-use the phalate-laden plastic bottles by filling them with tap water, because then they are more likely to leach the chemicals, and the other types of bottles I carry leak in my bag.
So, I buy two bottles of water a day.
I haven't figured out how much money it is, but the water probably is more costly than I realize.
Gas. I buy water in the gallon for under a dollar
