i dont think i am afraid of them. i just hate the feeling when they hurt me while working on my teeth.. and then the feeling of my jaw being numb for hours. i really hate that feeling

Used to be....many years ago. UNTIL, I sat in a dental chair and could hear the patient in the next cubicle. He had not been to a dentist in YEARS and was having all his rotted teeth removed.
I heard every sound, the cracking of his jaw, the wincing in his voice, the pain, ....it was awful to hear - what it must have been like for him, I can only imagine. The thing is, it was his own fault - due to years of neglect.
That event cured me of my fear of dentists ...forever. in fact, ironically, today, I made a dental appointment! - no kidding.
if you take care of your teeth, you will never need to go thru that.

OMG! Yes my palms get sweaty and i start to shake and get all nervous and stuff and when he tries to put all those sharp objects in my mouth I try to run away lol!! I know its childish, but I'm the same at the hospital and always tries to run away from the Doctor lol!!!
