Yes. our alarm goes off even when we put a frozen pizza in the oven! It is so annoying!!! have you ever done this???
i threw a little clock at it. a piece fell off the alarm, and it was quiet again! mission accomplished.

Yes I have. In fact, the whole smoke alarm came off.
This house doesn't have any smoke alarms , I do however have an extinquisher. I know people who get annoyed though by the smoke alarms going off in building apartments especially while cooking- pretty scary really as you never know if it is a real fire or just someone cooking.
