Communication is perhaps the best *tool* people have, but weapons are, in fact, used to do harm. Communication involves two people; if someone's not responding, you're not communicating. With, say, a gun, all you have to do is pull a little trigger and you have the power to take a life.
Communication is the best method for getting something done, but weapons are meant to destroy, to tear down, to devastate. Communication builds understanding; an atomic bomb kills thousands.
Certainly, however, caustic remarks can lose you friends and make people hate you, but they generally don't end in grievous losses.
Sorry, I wasn't listening. What was the question? Kidding. Not sure if "weapon" is the best word, perhaps "tool" would be better. I would say "knowledge" is the best weapon. Either that or a slingshot.
