It used to irk me too!! But then I moved up in levels and now I dont even answer as much as I could.
I know the feeling. Do what you can and gain more points. Did you try voting on undecided q's?
If all else fails, you make an account in your wife's name.. and keep that only for when your stuff runs out.
I think you need to get to a certain level in order to have unlimited access to q' and a's. The first 2 levels I think are limited. Check out the terms. I have long since crossed that milestone, so I don't remember.
