I think the auditions r funny......but when the auditions r over...I could care less about the show.....

No I think that it's changes that they have made is making the audience get adjusted, but if it is past its prime I still love it.
Season six and seven were/are a joke. After five, they should have quit. I find it funny that because of Taylor Hicks (The guy who won season 5.) brought them the highest ratings they've ever had, yet they treat him like total dogshit. Bastards.

cant stand it. never have liked that show.
I like it. It gives the opportunity for people to sing and persue their dream in singing.
To be honest, around the world now, many countries spawn their own idol contest show, either directly under the name of idol (and have to pay Fox network) or with some other name.
These localize spinoff itself is generating alot of viewers.
But from what I've seen, AI basically still have the quality factor in it, in terms of talents (I'm not american btw, and my local idols cant sing to save their life). So if anything, other idols around the world will past their prime first before AI goes down...
i luv the auditions but after that it just gets boring same with x factor

The really hopeless cases are not anywhere as hopeless as their British counterparts.
i only watch it for the auditions, they have my laughing so much when someone comes in and starts to sing really bad and they are so shocked when they do not get through, don't really watch it after that.

I like it & look forward to it coming on tonight & tomorrow night. 2 hours each night. It's very entertaining to me & to my husband. We enjoy watching it together.
I have watched it ever since season 2. For whatever reason, I'm not feeling it this year. It seems the singing is very repetitive and there are not many who seem to sing the type of music I'd even listen to.
