Why dont people resolve their questions?!

Question: It drives me nuts when I get a best answer or not 3 weeks later!

Answers: It drives me nuts when I get a best answer or not 3 weeks later!

I just asked a similar question yesterday! I do not know why... but it drives me nuts too! I just picked a best answer for (my question) this morning... how hard is that? If we take the time to answer the least they can do is pick someone for best answer. I get mad when they don't pick at all and leave it up to voters!

b/c people get lazy and forget

Cause some people have more important things to do lol

wheras i dont so i resolve mine

because they don't think it is important

-they are lazy
-they don't know how
-there is lots of good answers
-thry forget

lazy...

you get 5 points if there's no best answer...

instead of 3 points...

I have had some best answers come back from voting after a year!

I KNOW!

I hate when people do this.. Apparently they don't care, forgot about it, aren't true Yahoo-ers, etc.

lazy and forget..

P.S you better resolve this question :P

Either they forget, can't be bothered or don't know which is the best answer.

I think we all notice this trend and probably cannot be helped. It can be frustrating and all especially when one takes the time to give a good answer. I agree if we aren't picked for a best answer but at least pick someone. The other thing I do notice is most of the questions I answer and end up going to a vote is with people with very few points. I find that interesting, don't you?

I think a lot of people just write questions on this forum for something to do and don't want or need an answer, look at some of the stupid things asked at times. Just a waste of time reading them.

They have unresolved issues, that's why.

they forgot about their questions totally! plus, can i hav my answer chosen as the best plz?

Well, take for example a question asked about movies or something. Several people give really good answers, and a couple of people actually email private answers. The Asker is touched by the personal gesture of the emailers, and in fact, invites one to have popcorn while the asker enjoys one of the recommended movies. Now the asker has to decide between good answers, and thoughtful emailers, and witty flirty popcorn guy. Some would leave it up to chance, thus ignoring having to make a choice for resolution. Others would pick a random person to avoid seeming bias.
