What is the distance...?!

Question: between the asker and the question they post? Why almost everyone assumes that there's no such distance, that the question represents a piece of the askers life?

My questions are usually inspired by random words I read somewhere or things that I see on T.V.

I think that the more...hmm...shallow people here probably assume that since they would normally only as a question about themselves, that the rest of us are doing it too. A lot of my questions come from situations I find myself in, but then a lot of them also come from random thoughts and things I read or see on TV too. I like to get people to think differently with mine, and sometimes they're so vague that people answer with the typical "huh?" and whatnot. I like getting people to think, to use their own imaginations to interpret the question. Sadly, too many people here just don't think very deeply...

I don't know how to answer this one. . . . .

Sometimes I asked questions that are totally FAR from my real life, first thing is I don't have much of 'emotional outlet' so whatever comes in my mind in that particular day/time will lead me in asking such question.Sometimes too there are question that I don't want to answer yet[in person]coz I don't want to give bias opinion[like friend's problem, etc.] so I post it in here and hear different opinions.

7.3 gilananos, by way of the Atlantic of course.

no idea

ummm i don't know really...i think inspiration always comes from somewhere and for me a question always comes to me the same way.. as we're closest to our feelings people assume that's where its all coming from and i don't know about you but that's exactly where all my questions come from my dark, my happy and unbelievable moments =)..

I usually ask questions from quotes I find on sites and from questions I find interesting on www.myspacebulletins.com.

We don't really, but If I sense that a question is relevant to them then I try and use personal context. Sometimes I ask my firneds what question I should ak and its fom them. Sometimes I think people ask questions for the sake of it, but ti doesn't matter its all about the points and the satifcation that you have helped someone.

Looks like Gelfling.....smells like Gelfling.....must be Gelfling.

The questions I've asked have pertained to my life and what was going on. But often times it's so easy to assume that the questions being asked are happening to the person asking the question.

It has happened to me too.... I sometimes post "sad" questions, describing difficult emotional situations. Friends ask me if I am ok.! Yes, I am ok, I am just inspired by random conversations I hear on tv.and/or from friends, or a song!!

Yet, there are times -very few though..- that some questions reveal something of my inner thoughts and feelings. Only, one, has to read them very carefully!! I know some who do!! :)

that is an excellent point, we Americans make far too many assumptions that are not based on facts
