You are right for the most part, but there are exceptions.
Some people have degrees in psychology.
Or some people have issues with control and/or an irrational fear of getting played...and as a result they have studied human behavior in depth.
I personally, have read countless books and papers on human behavior, lying, manipulation, mind control, coercive persuasion, personality disorders, con artists, the art of investigation, etc...
But I wouldn't do a fraction of what I read.

I'd assume Yes, until proven otherwise.
Obviously if they are studying to be a detective, then you are probably safe to conclude that they are not a player...but then again...you'd have to ask yourself why would someone psychologically want to go into that profession...

Not necessarily. Sometimes that is the case but other times my intuition kicks in.
I can also learn / infer the rules of countless new games, anytime...
What Crushed Grapes said it's true sometimes you get a weird vibe. Also it depends on the person and how well you know them, cause some people are very predictable
