Question: im a teen girl and its great that people still have manners, like if a man opens the door for me i say " thanks " with a smile ( Like a person always should do ) then beat them to the next door to open it up for Them, its like a game.
i find the the men are always surprised that i do. lol.

I will hold the door now. If I have to, I will get ahead of everyone to get the door. I hope I can be that enthusiastic all the time.

I always do that too. I don't see why anyone wouldn't! It's nice to see other people think the same way I do.
Always! I make sure to say thank you when someone holds the door for me. My favorite is when you stand there holding the door for someone and they don't even acknowledge the kind deed and keep on walking without saying a word. RUDE! That's when I say very loudly "YOU'RE WELCOME, AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!" I figure if they can't express a little appreciation, then they should at least get embarrassed!

I do that too. It's just common curtiousy. I think it is discusting to see people who are rude, so self-absorbed, or so spoiled that they never learned or do not aknowledge simple manners such as holding open a door for maybe 3 seconds or at least saying "Thanks". I mean, what is our society coming to when people can't even hold the door open for someone- be it a elder person, a woman, man, or anyone.
