Do jehova's witness' celebrate Valentines Day?!

Question: Yes they do - I worked with someone who was a Jehova's Witness and they do not celebrate a lot of things, but he did celebrate Valentine's Day with his wife - these are the only holidays mention on this website that I found that specifically says that they don't celebrate - Valentine's day is not mentioned: Religion facts website

Rejection of Holidays
One of the more well-known practices of the Jehovah's Witnesses is their non-celebration of holidays. All holidays, including birthdays, are considered "pagan holidays" and may not be observed by Witnesses. The official website of the Jehovah's Witnesses explains:

Jesus never commanded Christians to celebrate his birth. Rather, he told his disciples to memorialize, or remember, his death. (Luke 22:19, 20) Christmas and its customs come from ancient false religions. The same is true of Easter customs, such as the use of eggs and rabbits. The early Christians did not celebrate Christmas or Easter, nor do true Christians today.

The only two birthday celebrations spoken of in the Bible were held by persons who did not worship Jehovah. (Genesis 40:20-22; Mark 6:21, 22, 24-27) The early Christians did not celebrate birthdays. The custom of celebrating birthdays comes from ancient false religions. True Christians give gifts and have good times together at other times during the year. {1}

  • It's the one day the women wear deodorant.

No, and can you blame them?

Kind of. They take a day off of knocking on doors.

No. They don't celebrate much. Not even birthdays.

    to put it shortly,no.

No - Valentines Day has origins similar to the other major holidays so that's why do not participate.

Probably not. I had a friend in high school who was one and she didn't even celebrate birthdays.

no they don't. along with birthdays, christmas, easter and any other holiday they deem to be pagan in nature.

They don't even celebrate Christmas why would they celebrate a made up day like Valentine's Day.

    NO NO holidays at all.

    No.
The only celebration that Christians are commanded to celebrate in the bible is the the Memorial of Jesus death or the Lord's Evening Meal which JW do once a year on the anniversary. Luke 22:14-20.
Popular holidays and celebrations that do not have biblical origins are not celebrated.

no they dont celebrate anthing.. i think...

    no,

    and i can exsplain why.

In the bible God asks us to be 'no part of the world'

so we do not celebrate or take part in worldly celebrations

that did not originate with god.
