it's not the size that will make me want to swerve..it's what kind of animal it is...if it's a large rat about the size of a cat I will hit it...if it actually is a cat of the same size I will swerve.

I don't think it is a matter of size. I will swerve to miss any animal on the road, providing there is nothing coming from the other direction.
