For those who speak more than language...?!

Question: do you agree that no matter how many languages we speak, we are still very much limited when it comes to describe our feelings?

Translation offers just another set of rules... only the words are changed, while the range of the meanings in real life can be unlimited...

Yes I agree to an extent, but for one can not pass over the
language of gestures and movement. The curling of the lower
lip if one doesn't know how to behave. The blinking of the eyes as one traverse.
Ooh the joy of so many the little things not spoken in any language.

yes, i agree with that.

agree

Yes, I agree.

Hi ELsa!

I agree But there is something about French and Castillian that express so beautifully. OH Itlian too

Yea I agree. I even have a bad time expressing how I feel when I speak my first language.

Yeah..feelings can't really be described into words.

strictly true....

i totally agree

I agree with you. Especially when you only speak a second (or third) language very limitedly, or when a lot of words sound similar in pronunciation, but mean completely different things.

For an American learning Arabic, the word for "busy", the word for "famous," and one of the words for "happy" all sound very similar... so sometimes it's hard to communicate "I'm happy" without sounding conceited.

agreed.i have an awful time to express my feelings

I'm better at describing my feelings in my native language than any other language I speak.

i speak italian!!! but i agree w/ u. that's very deep. u gotta b a deep girl. good 4 u. nm of us left...

Most definitely.
It's easier in my language to explain my feelings though than it is in English. The English language is very limited when it comes to expressing emotions and feelings.

yes i agree.

I agree. When it comes to describing your feelings, you can only describe it in your dominant language because that is what you know the most words in.

Yup.

i speak 5...but my feelings i describe them better in italian
