How would you take down a cayote?!
Question: As i was approaching my car at vacant parking lot the other night (night classes), there was a small cayote sniffing around my car. (the area is prone to cayotes, i never thought i'd run into one) i froze, unsure of what to do. when it noticed me, its ears perked up and we stared at eachother for a few seconds before it shot off.
so just in case i come across it again and it charged towards me (IN CASE), what should i do? I hear you can punch a dog in the nose... same concept for a cayote?!?

Keep one of those small cans of pepper spray on your keychain. Coyotes are wild, they should be afraid of humans, if one doesn't run from you it could be rabid. By any chance did it have rocket propelled roller skates by ACME?

kick in the throat..but because of the threat of rabies I'd be jumping onto a car
kick it. they're no bigger than an average sized dog.
its cyote. But they are extremely skittish. You may want to bring some sort of noise makers- not keys tho. throwing rocks near the grown is good, just try not to hurt it. I went to the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center and they are beautiful animals. So respect them please!

just yell and go toward it, he will run away. If it attacked just kick the hell out of it.
Definitely kick it. I mean do you wanna wait for it to be close enough to punch it in the nose.. and then find out that doesn't work and get crazy mad bitten?

don't kill it ask the wildlife authorities to relocate it
if it does happen just make really weird sounds yayay anananawaaaaa ha ha stuff like that and make your self seem bigger...

It depends.
Coyotes don't usually attack people unless they are hunting or are in a group. If the coyote is alone he won't bother you.
If he ever does you just gotta try to squese his testicle, if you can mess with his eyes or nose that would be good. Sensitive areas are the best to win a fight with a coyote.

Why would you want to?? Rumors about coyote attacks are UNTRUE. They are more scared of us than we are of them. IN the last decade there have only been 9 coyote attacks.....ZERO DEATHS BY COYOTE!!!!
I'd kick it then just beat on it then tear its head off. Seriously I would do that.

Guard your throat from teeth and you could take it down. Punch it in the nose and if you could bite its ear (I know its gross but that hurts dogs and coyotes and wolves really bad). A kick in the ribs would break them and then you could kill it (if you are in life danger). But coyotes do not normally attack people unless they are mothers or if you make them angry. It will normally run off.
they're more scared of us than we are of them. just make a loud noise or something and it'll run off.
if it bites cover its nose to stop breathing and it will let go to breathe.
Have you tried talking to the Coyote ? Have you asked it it's name ? Do you know about it's past , it's upbringing? Maybe the Coyote is shy and is uncomfortable speaking to strangers, do you feel you have the right to force your conversation upon this creature? Coyote's are people too...
