I like working with people that are smarter than me because there is always room for improvement in one area or another.

lucky you, lots of time off and a lazy work environment. I work in a very trim company that expects everyone to work hard every day. I prefer this to the slow moving "comfort zone" of a lazy company with lazy workers. Sooner or later the lazy company has to make cuts but again lucky you the government rarely does that and has trouble laying off with unions demanding more.
I prefer being surrounded by smart people because I learn from them and it presents daily challenges to me. But being the smart one does have an element of security and a feeling of superiority.
